Seeking Asylum: Our Stories

Seeking Asylum: Our Stories, published by Black Inc in partnership with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, is a beautifully photographed hardback collecting first-person accounts from people who have lived the experience of seeking asylum in Australia. Contributors write about growing up in refugee camps, rebuilding careers and families, and navigating a new country and its immigration system, accompanied by portrait photography throughout.

Includes a foreword by Liliana Maria, an essay by Abdul Karim Hekmat on the history of Australia's approach to asylum seekers, and an afterword by Kon Karapanagiotidis. All proceeds from the book go directly to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
